We are André and Maria Côté. We bought our farm 20 years ago and have always raised beef. We became certified organic in 2001. We believe that the farming practices of today were not intended by nature. By respecting nature we are producing healthy animals which contain many nutrients that protect against disease and contribute to good health.
We practice organic standards according to the Canadian Organic Standards for our farm as we are certified by PRO-CERT. A yearly inspection is mandatory by the Pro-Cert. Our beef has no growth hormones, no antibiotics, no pesticides or use herbicides in our fields, no feedlot confinement, no grains. Our beef is from young animals (less than 20 months), is processed in a local government-inspected facility and frozen in meat-wrapping paper.
We are at the market every other week, and will return to the market on Saturday, May 18th
